flatland: a romance of many dimensions

Flatland was a project in using expressive type to represent the novella, Flatland. I represented the chapter on irregular figures. The story is of a square who lives in Flatland and discovers that there are other dimensions beyond the one they live in. He visits Lineland and Spaceland and theorizes that there could be many more dimensions. He has great difficulty convincing the other shapes in his world that other dimensions exist and is persecuted and ridiculed for it.

Each student designed a chapter of the story as a spread and dust jacket to go over their copy. I was a part of the production team and designed the front matter and pattern with my classmate, Casey Pollon.
